Results of the 7th European Conference on PHS

The new edition of the European Conference on PHS was held on the 7th of November in Brussels. Its highlights have been summarized in a document.

On 7th November 2016, the 7th edition of the European Conference on personal and household services gathered about seventy participants in Brussels to discuss the future challenges and opportunities faced by businesses active in the sector. The conference was co-organised by EFSI and the Consultative Commission on Industrial Change (CCMI) of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC).

A great variety of stakeholders, scholars and policy-makers were represented in the audience. They were able to discuss three main challenges, namely : the use of ICT tools and more globally digital solutions in the provision of PHS; the means to tackle the unfair competition of undeclared work; and the improvement of job quality in the sector. The highlights of the conference can be downloaded and a synthesis report will be published early 2017.

The 8th edition of the European Conference on PHS will be held early 2018.
