EFSI’s participation to the Employers’ Forum for Work Life Balance

The Employers’ Forum for Work Life Balance has been organized by the COFACE (Confederation of Family organisations in the European Union) and its Finnish member Väestöliitto, The Family Federation of Finland on September 8-9 in Helsinki.

The Forum was held in the frame of the Year of Reconciling Work and Familiy Life in Europe and its main issue was to discuss how to make the workplace more family friendly.

As every employer can act to positively impact on the wellbeing of their employees  and their families, the idea was to share practices and know-how highlighting different approaches and solutions developed in the public, the private and the third sectors throughout Europe.

Numerous common challenges were pointed out during the conference such as parenthood leaves, working time, gender equality and access to childcare, and the emerging overall message was about the need to provide a universal access to work-life balance tools and supports.

The COFACE invited two delegates from the European Federation for Services to Individuals (EFSI) to participate to the conference: the Spanish association AESP and Edenred.
