Register to the joint EFSI/AESP event on PHS’ future development in Spain.

The Spanish Association of Personal Services (AESP) organizes in collaboration with EFSI an event to be held in Madrid on the 7th of February 2017.

The Spanish Association of Personal Services (AESP) organises in collaboration with the European Federation for Services to Individuals (EFSI) on Tuesday, February 7, at the headquarters of the Representation of the European Commission in Spain an event entilted "Personal and Household Services (PHS): axis between Productivity, Sustainable jobs creation and Social Justice".

The various panels will bring together representatives of Spanish public administrations, International and European organizations, political groups as well as business and trade unions representatives.

The event is part of the current discussions on the fight against unemployment and lack of equal opportunities and the viability of the European social model. Similarly, the major challenges posed by the socio-economic changes facing our societies, such as population ageing or the needs to reconcile private and professional lives, will be addressed.

The initiative will count on the support of the European Commission and the intervention of Nicholas Costello, Deputy Head of Unit within DG EMPL. On the Spanish Administration side, the Ministry of Employment should highlight the main points of its Agenda for the Quality of Employment and its policy to tackle undeclared work in the sector.

In addition, the Director of EFSI, Mrs Aurélie Decker, will present the results of the IMPACT project, which aims to help Member States evaluate and design their PHS supporting policies. Finally, Mr. Jean-François Lebrun, will present the results of a study conducted by the French Treasury General Directorate on the costs and earn-back effects of PHS supporting policies.

More information on the event and the draft programme are available here.

Simultaneous English / Spanish interpretation will be provided during the day.
